One of the biggest romantic comedies on dvd of all time ! In this movie, the romance is different : the two lovers never meet until the very last scene of the entire film. A smart comedy directed by no one than Nora Ephron. Sam (Tom Hanks) is broken by the death of his wife. His young son, Jonah (Ross Malinger), to console him, calls up a radio talk show to tell everybody that his dad needs to find love. Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. make a perfect couple in Only You. Director Norman Jewison is mostly known for his all-time romantic comedy success Moonstruck, but Only You is often overlooked. It’s a cute movie about Faith (Marisa Tomei), a young woman who one day found out on a Ouija board that her true name is “Damon Bradley”. This discovery makes her pursue the man of her dreams in Europe. She travels the streets of Rome with her sister-in-law to find that Damon Bradley. “One Fine Day” is a cute romantic comedy with an air of Hollywood’s Golden Age. But the movie is really the sotry of an investigative columnist (George Clooney) who works for a reputable New York newspaper who meets an architect (Michelle Pfeiffer). The two of them are single parents. Their relationship starts with a feud, which quickly turns into a great relationship over the course of a day. “One Fine Day” is a fine movie. It’s delightful, full of humor and can be enjoyed bys charming, funny, and has the greatest soundtrack of all romantic comedies on dvd. The writer-director Kevin Smith (Clerks) surprises with this fun romantic comedy starring Ben Affleck as Holden, a comic-book artist. He deals with his love for Alyssa (Joey Lauren Adam), a lesbian and the disdain of his friend over his love. Chasing Amy is different from the other romantic comedies on DVD and offers a thoughtful, funny look at how perceptions alter lives, and how obsession and self-doubt skew reality.
